Workshop Submissions

Paper, Panels and Workshops offer an opportunity to discuss and record our history; explore ideas that you feel passionate about that would be of interest or benefit to the Radical Faerie Community; examine issues confronting the Radical Faerie movement at this critical time; consider ways in which Radical Faeries in urban and rural settings can develop new gatherings and create new sanctuaries; provide venues for skill-sharing of many different types; explore the most pressing needs facing Faerie sanctuaries to help insure their strong future.

The FAEposium is a chance to share our collective and individual wisdom, and creative genius with the larger faerie community and the rest of the world. If you care about where our community is, you probably have something to say and we want to help you express it… using presentation styles most comfortable and best suited to you. Presentations, papers, panels and performance might include a variety of performance approaches, multimedia presentation, spoken word, music, drag, dance, new ideas and provocative propositions…. anything that gets us thinking, feeling and ready to move forward!

Presentations at FAEposium can take many forms. Feel free to be creative and find a format that works best for you and the conversation you want to have or the material you wish to share. Here are some common formats:

Paper – A more traditional presentation of an individual’s ideas, often complemented with images or other AV presentation (think Powerpoint or Keynote software). Consider working with others to create a panel.

Panel – Invite a group of three or four people with complementary or differing perspectives on a topic to come together and speak. Then open the conversation to include participation of attendees.

Workshop – Share skills and provide an opportunity for learning and growth. Consider various learning approaches, small and large group discussions, and opportunities for people to practice what they’ve learned.
